LIBRARY INFORMATION
Students are welcome to visit the library
Monday to Friday from 7:45am to 16:40pm
Every student must have a library card with a
recent photograph. This card is for the use of the owner only and it is
required when taking materials home or to the classroom.
1st formers will receive their card in 2nd
term.
Borrowing:
5th form to year 12th: students may borrow up
to 5 different books at a time.
Books from the Reading Plan, may be lent for 15
days, extendable for 7 days more; Students may borrow readers and books
for electives until the date of test.
Books of a personal choice have more flexible
loan periods so may be extended on request.
Books will not be checked out in someone else's
name.
1st formers may borrow 1 book from the Reading
Plan until the date of test
and 1 book of a personal choice for 15 days extendable for
7 additional days.
2nd and 3rd formers may borrow 1 book from the
Reading Plan until the date of test, and 2 books of personal choice for 15
days extendable for 7 additional days.
Magazines and newspapers cannot be checked out
Any material checked out for class must be
returned before the class is over.
Returning, Renewal and
Replacement:
Students
with overdue books may not check out or renew additional ones . From the moment they are
returned to the library , students cannot borrow or renew any books for the same
period they failed to return them. The foregoing shall not apply in case
of absence or sickness.
Books
lost or damaged ,must be replaced ( with legal
copies only) as soon as possible.
Computers:
There are 6
computers available in the library for school-related use only, students are
permitted to search for information,
send and receive e -mails, print documents, etc.
Library etiquette:
While remaining in the library, students are not allowed to talk loudly, run or use mobile phones. Eating ,drinking, card or game playing (except for chess)are not permitted . Backpacks are not allowed inside the library during hours.
